Fire Cider Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. grated fresh horseradish root
  • 1/2 c. or more chopped onion
  • 1/4 c. or more chopped garlic
  • 1/4 c. or more grated ginger
  • Cayenne pepper to taste
  • Apple Cider Vinegar(raw and organic) I recommend Braggs
  • Honey

Instructions

  1. Place the horseradish, onion, garlic and ginger into half gallon mason jar and cover with vinegar by 3-4 inches above. Cover with lid and let jar sit in warm space for 3-4 weeks.
  2. After 3-4 weeks strain the solids reserving the liquid. Warm honey(for mixing in ) and add to the vinegar to taste. Add in a pinch of cayenne. The taste should be hot, spicy and sweet.
  3. Refrigerate or store in cool cupboard. Will last for months.
  4. Take a shot glass full daily or a tsp. several times a day if feeling under the weather. I also like to use this as a salad dressing.
