Dr. Nalbandian has been a practicing Naturopathic Doctor for over 20 years including 15 years teaching at Bastyr University, the largest and most prestigious naturopathic medical school in the United States. Dr. Nalbandian has worked with patients of all ages and managed many conditions including endocrine disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, menopausal symptoms, fertility issues, acute illnesses, insomnia, fatigue, weight gain, diabetes, hypertension, arthritis, autoimmune conditions, depression and anxiety. She has a wealth of knowledge in women’s health issues, including: routine GYN exams, menopause, menstruation and fertility as well as allergies, food sensitivities and intolerances, digestive complaints, pre-diabetes, insulin resistance & weight management, nutrition, thyroid and adrenal hormone balance, fatigue, and fibromyalgia.
Dr. Nalbandian utilizes a variety of therapies with her patients, including nutritional counseling, therapeutic nutrition, life style modification and counseling, herbal medicine, environmental medicine and homeopathy. She believes that true healing comes when a person feels heard and is empowered with the knowledge and tools to improve their own health.

Dr. Nalbandian has lectured extensively throughout Washington State including lectures on menopause and women’s health issues including women and cardiovascular disease, Nutrition, diagnosing metabolic syndrome and naturopathic treatments for fibromyalgia.
Extracurricular Activities & Personal Interests:
Dr. Nalbandian is the current President of the Alaska Association of Naturopathic Physician. She is an active member with the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and the Alaska house delegate representing Alaska’s naturopathic doctors at the national level.
In 2010, Dr. Nalbandian moved to Alaska to join the Avante Medical Center family. She loves the mountains and enjoys the outdoors and finds Alaska a new adventure. At home she loves to cook and create new healthy recipes to share with her patients. Besides exploring Alaska, Dr. Nalbandian enjoys traveling throughout the U.S. and the world with her family.
