Philosophy of Care

A nutritionist helps move patients through evidence-based dietary adjustments that best fit their health needs and goals. They work from a whole-body wellness approach, acting as an educator and a coach to support real-life sustainable changes. Initial visits involve getting detailed health, social, and lifestyle history, as well as providing education, measurements, and collaboration of a plan. Follow up visits include a reassessment of measurements and adjustments to the plan as needed.  “I believe in patient informed care utilizing evidence-based nutrition when formulating a plan. I want to educate and collaborate with the patient to bring a sense of empowerment. My goal is for you to walk away from the visit with knowledge, empowerment and a renewed sense of motivation.”

Education

Danielle graduated from University of Bridgeport Connecticut with a Master of Science in Human Nutrition. Her undergraduate degree is from University of Alaska Anchorage with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and minor in Athletic Training. Danielle continues her education by attending conferences yearly in a wide variety of nutrition topics.

Personal Interests

When she is not helping patients, Danielle is outside enjoying many Alaskan outdoor activities. Her favorites are hiking, gardening, and working agility with her dog.
