Dr. Tami Lubitsh-White is a licensed psychologist focusing on sychodynamic, EMDR, Sensorimotor, ACT, and specialty in integration in Primary care dealing with chronic health conditions.
She was born and raised in Israel. Before becoming a clinician, she worked for many years as a journalist and a theater director. Her curiosity about the human experience led her to change careers and study psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco. She worked several years in the field of treating substance disorders and addressing the underlying causes that led people to get addicted. Later she continued her education and completed her doctorate degree at Alaska Pacific University. She specialized in treating trauma and she constantly develops innovative methods to deal with mental health challenges like depression, anxiety, sleep difficulties, and PTSD.
Her approach to well-being is inspired by mind, body, and heart medicine. She believes that in order to be physically healthy, we need to take care of our mental health and vice versa. This approach led her to explore the integration of behavioral health in primary care.
She founded and managed an integrated behavioral health program at Anchorage Neighborhood Health Center in Alaska. Then she worked in Providence. Today she works as a consultant in the field of primary care and teaches at Alaska Pacific University. She is committed to improving the lives of her patients through a consistent focus on individualized care and connection. Her hope is to be part of the vibrant care team at Avante, working to create a space where people can heal and thrive.

I am an Advanced Nurse Practitioner with 35 years of experience providing acute primary care, hospital care, and general care. My focus is optimal well being and healthy aging through hormone health and lifestyle awareness. Maintaining healthy hormone levels throughout the lifespan is critical to aging well in terms of heart, brain, bone disease prevention and contributes to an overall sense of well being. Other areas of interest include the emerging realm of peptide therapies, amino acids formulated to mimic or enhance cellular processes that restore and optimize function, and in nutrigenomics, the study of relationships between what we eat and how our genetic profile interacts with input on a molecular level.
I have been in love with Alaska since moving here from Northern Canada, in 1990. I never tire of the beauty that surrounds us, and the endless opportunities Alaska offers us. I have a goal to climb every inch of the Turnagain Arm, and end each hike at the Turnagain Arm Pit BBQ – a family venture my spouse Jack and I started as a hobby 9 years ago.
I am happy to have found a new home with Avante Medical Center, which has provided a healthy team-oriented work environment that is supportive to both its providers and patients alike.
